The Band

Rooster has been playing together since 2011. The name of the band was initially Acoustic Rooster and the musical direction was acoustic-based classic rock. The band’s first gig was at Lemoncello in East Rochester, and restaurant management repeatedly told us we were too loud and needed to turn down. That would mark the beginning of bars and restaurants having a hard time with the concept of a four-person acoustic act.

That was solved when Chuck Facchini joined the band in 2016 and the “acoustic” part of the name was dropped to simply Rooster. We usually start the night with a set that has a more acoustic sound. The second set rocks a little louder and a little harder, and gets everyone dancing. We frequently have special guests such as a horn section.

Acoustic Rooster is:

- George Cornwell: lead guitar, mandolin, harmonica

- Tracy Schuhmacher: vocals, acoustic guitar, violin

- Marie Forman: vocals & acoustic guitar

- Dave Catalfo: bass, acoustic guitar, vocals

- Chuck Facchini: drums
